Mayor For Life is a three piece rock band from Chicago. It consists of three totally sweet ass dudes named Rich, Todd, and Ullysses. Rich and Todd used to be in All Limbs Intact together. That band fizzled because everyone flaked out on us. To be fair, usually they had valid reasons involving trying to support themselves and/or their family. Rich and Uli used to work together. Due to our experience with ALI, we decided three people were enough.
One of these days we'll have songs up here and they'll kick ass.
Fun fact: At 160 lbs, Todd is the heaviest member of the band.

Catching up with some great artists we've played with that for whatever reason, didn't get a preview.

Cadejo Negro's Will Walker and Jason Whitus cut the cord of the traditional Rock and Roll format and come to the world as a thunderous Drum and Bass 2 piece. Former members of Mezzanine C14 stripe down the layers of calculating complex time signatures to bring strong rhythms, back beats, and thundering bass while adding the art of noise as an instrument.

Good Evening Chicago

Chicago is a place, that for many reasons, has one of the most vibrant and varied music scenes anywhere. From Chicago Blues to ground breaking House Music to indie rock that rethinks its own conventions, Chicago is bursting at the seams with interesting and provocative music. The music that is produced here emits an almost endless variety that, other than a few niche cable access shows, lacks a collective output that represents its vastness effectively.
If Austin has “Austin City Limits” and Nashville “The Grand Old Opry”, both in national syndication, then Chicago definitely needs a live music outlet. Good Evening Chicago is the beginning of a new tradition in live Chicago music.
Starting in the fall of 2009 as a Video and Audio podcast hosted on line, Good Evening Chicago will, after buliding a following, make a home on local television and eventually national syndication. Leading up the our debut online we will be will be holding live tapings once a month through out the Spring and Summer. Please stay tuned for more Chicago music innovators, only on Good Evening Chicago.
Good Evening Chicago hosts its 1 Year Anniversary this Friday at Murphy's Bleachers, 3653 North Sheffield. This is a free show. Featuring Plan B, The Armor Class, and Cmn ineed yr hlp.
